Clubs unsichtbar, nichts weist auf ihre Bedeutung in der
Nacht hin. Sie sind wie Phantome. Man hat davon gehört,
aber oft sind sie schon wieder weg, wenn man das erste Mal
hinkommt, oder es ist der falsche Tag.” |
“We
made these photographs in the afternoon at the entrances
to favourite clubs and bars in Berlin-Mitte. In the daytime,
the clubs are invis-ible. Nothing hints at their night-time
life. They are like phantoms. You’ve heard about one, so
you go there the first time, but it has already disappeared,
or maybe it’s just the wrong day.”
