John Lennon wanted to arrange co-concerts. We had planned programmes for London. That, unfortunately, was at the time the Beatles were splitting up.
Holger Czukay from CAN was a student in my Cologne courses for new music - a very talented man.
He decided to do that kind of music then.

Since 1953 I have regularly realized works of electronic music that incorporated new synthetic sounds and sound-effects - since then this has had a strong effect on so-called pop-musicians.
In my course for composition in California there were already in 1966 the musicians of The Grateful Dead and Jefferson Airplane partaking. They visited me regularly.

I've also went to the Filmore West in San Francisco and danced to the music of these bands. That wasn't unusual at all. <
